21 Apr Linking the Quartier de l’Étang and the future “Aventure” footbridge in Vernier (GE)
Currently nearing completion, a pedestrian crutch will complete the new soft mobility route to Vernier station.
🌿 The layout of the structure has been carefully thought out to limit the shadow cast on the neighbouring forest area in order to preserve the habitat of vipers, a protected species in this sector.
✅ 100 m long, 3.5 m wide, made up of 9 sections of around 12 m and 11 tonnes each, with an S-shaped structure and consequently curved sections.
To assemble these sections, we used the scribing technique, which enables us to mark the assembly lines of the stiffeners and webs directly on the decking sheet, so that the marks are engraved as soon as they are cut. Blank’ assemblies were also carried out to validate the geometry before final assembly.
Appointment in May to see the stand take shape!
